The Relationship Between Fear and Positive Attitude

What is the relationship between fear and positive attitude? It does seem to be strange that there are some links between them. If you want to understand, then you will have to understand what is fear?

There are 2 kinds of fear. The first kind of fear is the healthy fear of like drinking poison or jumping down from building. This is the fear that will protect our body. The 2nd kind of fear is all the other kind of fear which we face in our everyday life which itself is a illusion. The example of the 2nd type of fear is like the fear of meeting people or the fear of public speaking. It is not a healthy kind of fear and in fact it is just a illusion as it is just a invisible wall.

Let’s use the fear of meeting new people as a example. When a guy wants to know a lady who is a total stranger, what are the first things that will go through his mind? Immediately the majority of the guy will visualize in their mind how embarrassed they will look if they are being rejected. The guy did not even ask and he already said no in his mind. It is this kind of unnecessary fear that prevent people from achieving their dreams or goal.

Let’s look at the situation from another point of view. He has a positive attitude and he tells himself that in order to overcome his fear, he must face the fear of meeting people himself. He ask the lady and he is rejected. But instead of giving up, he has a positive attitude that it is a good learning experience for him. He tried to know the next lady and learned from the experience. As he dares to take action, his fear slowly disappear. He finally has the confidence to talk and know a total stranger from the street.

The fear will always be there. But if you are able to look at it from the positive point of view, fear can be a very powerful tool for you. So the next time when you have fear, towards something, tried having a positive attitude to overcome all those unnecessary fear that you have.
